The LDD Directory Reports and Exports extension allows the site administrator to create reports and to export listings in multiple formats, including XML, CSV, HTML, PDF.
The site administrator can also set up dynamic filters for the report output. Filters can by created for Listing Categories and Tags, as well as individual fields of the listings details (i.e. Country, State, Zip Code, etc.)
This addon also allows the site administrator to upload their own template file for displaying the generated reports.
NOTE: This addon is for allowing the user to create various reports. If you wish to transfer your Directory to another site, we suggest using the native WordPress exporter.

Once you’ve installed the add-on, navigate from your WordPress Dashboard to Directory >> Reports. From here you can quickly export the listings in your directory. Int he first tab you can choose the format, category/tag filters, and template to use for your export.
You can choose to export your report in the following formats:
Extensible Markup Language (XML) is a markup language that defines a set of rules for encoding documents in a format that is both human-readable and machine-readable.
A comma-separated values (CSV) file is a delimited text file that uses a comma to separate values. These files can also be viewed and edited in Microsoft Excel.
Portable Document Format (PDF), is a file format developed by Adobe in 1993 to present documents, including text formatting and images.

This setting lets you chose which Category/Tag filter template to use during the export process. The actual templates for this can be set up in the “Category/Tag Filters” tab.
This setting lets you chose which Fields filter template to use during the export process. The actual templates for this can be set up in the “Fields Filters” tab.
This setting lets you chose which Layout template to use during the export process. The actual templates for this can be set up in the “Templates” tab.
The Categories and Tags Filter function allows you to create custom filters for your export based on the various categories and tags you’ve created for your listings. The first screen will will show you a list of any filter templates available. To create a new filter template, click on the “Add Filter” button.
After giving as name to your Filter Template, simply click on any available Category or Tag to include those in your export, then click on the “Create Filter” button at the bottom of the screen. Any items listed int the “Selected Options” box will be used to export your listings. Any items not selected will be ignored during the export process.
The Fields Filter works in much the same way as the Categories/Tags filter. This function allows you to choose which fields from your listings pages to export.
The available fields include all of the input fields from the listings. Clicking on any of these items will move them to the “Selected Options” box and will be included in the output of your export.
Once you have selected the options to be included, click on the “Create Filter” button.
The “Templates” tab allows you to upload your own HTML & CSS files to be used for the layout and design of your PDF and HTML exports.
The files must be in a zipped folder in order to be used by the plugin and must contain the HTML and CSS files in order to generate the reports correctly.
You can use the provided default template as a starting point to create your own report layouts. This will require basic HTML/CSS knowledge on your end.
The default template is located in the add-on’s directory here: ldd-directory-reports/templates/default_tpl/
Do not edit these files directly as they will be overwritten with any updates to the plugin. We advise you to copy them to your local machine to make the edits, zip them up, and upload them using the template uploader in the plugin.
